2025 Theme - Circles of Time

We invite members of the community to participate in a creative reflection of our shared environment, while paying homage to our village celebrating 150 years.

 

A circle shape represents 150 years and provides our inspiration. This initiative encourages individuals to explore and express what their personal "circle" represents—drawing inspiration from the beauty of our historic village, which is surrounded by lush forests, diverse wildlife, the Des Plaines River and a great place to live and visit. 

 

Objective 

The CAP aims to foster community by engaging participants in a collaborative art project that symbolizes our connection to Riverside. Each participant will create a unique wreath or circle that embodies their interpretation of Riverside and what drives their creative expression and the experiences that shape our community. Express yourself and be creative! Completed circles will be displayed at the Riverside Arts Weekend and auctioned on the closing day. 

 

Call For Participants

Artists of all ages and skill levels are asked to contribute their creativity. Participants have the freedom to design their circles using natural materials, recycled items, or any mediums that resonate with their vision. This is an opportunity to showcase individual artistic expression while celebrating the collective spirit of Riverside.
